ESPERANZA 9

SELF-CATERING ACCOMMODATION

MOCLIN

Esperanza 9 was originally the village blacksmith's shop and later a garage where the owner shelled his almonds. Now, it has been renovated into an elegant and unique home that draws inspiration from traditional Moorish and Andalusian architectural elements. Water and light played a central role in the property's design, and the interiors seamlessly connect with the outdoor space. Cool in summer and cozy in winter, this is a property for all seasons.

The Space

The interior of the house has been designed to be as open as possible, allowing natural light to flood in and framing the views of the surrounding landscape. On the ground floor, there is a spacious open-plan living room and a fully equipped kitchen. The main furniture (sofa, beds, etc.) has been custom-built to fit the space perfectly. Other furnishings are primarily antiques and have been sourced locally from favorite suppliers. Throughout the house, the walls are decorated with original artwork, some of which is for sale as originals or as Giclée prints.

The kitchen has an AEG oven, induction hob, Bosch dishwasher and washing machine, and a large Bosch microwave. There is a kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, and a full range of crockery and glassware.

From the dining room, there is a door to the pool terrace, and the living room has a wood-burning stove.

The ground-floor bedroom is large and open-plan with a spacious Moorish-style bathroom, a rain shower, and double sinks set in a wooden vanity. There is a separate toilet. The windowsills are at eye level with the surface of the plunge pool, and the pool water casts waves of light onto the bedroom ceiling.

The first-floor bedroom is also open-plan and is located beneath a beautiful sloping Scandinavian wooden ceiling. From the bed, there are views of Moclín Castle. There is a Moorish-style bathroom with a rain shower, double sinks, and a separate toilet. There is a sitting area and a small library with mountain views. Double doors lead to the rooftop terrace.

The rooftop terrace is a beautiful feature with plenty of space for al fresco dining or sunbathing. There is a dining table and a built-in barbecue, sun loungers, beanbag chairs, and beach chairs. Water channels run along the rooftop terrace, cascading into the plunge pool below. Please note: The house is not suitable for children aged 2-16, as the pool and water channels are not fenced.

This is a stylish and unique house designed to inspire our guests.
